Fleck's Office to be Without Power on Wednesday
Rep. Mike Fleck’s (R-Huntingdon/Blair/Mifflin) Huntingdon office will be without power the morning of Wednesday, March 25, due to a planned power outage by Penelec. The power is scheduled to be off from 9 a.m. to noon. During that time, office telephones and computers will not be operational.
“My staff will continue to be available to constituents throughout the morning, despite the lack of power to the office,” Fleck said. “I apologize for any inconvenience this causes, nevertheless, my staff and I will continue to do whatever we can to help constituents with their state-related issues.”
During the outage, Penelec employees will be upgrading the service to the former Elks building, now owned by Huntingdon County, and will be installing fiber optic cable to the courthouse. The outage was scheduled for this time so that a full crew can complete the work without additional man-hour reductions that would have been necessary if the work was performed at an off-peak time.
The Huntingdon Office will be staffed throughout the day on Wednesday; however, constituent services will be limited until the power is restored, Fleck added.
